Our Story…

In March of 2018, the Iron Rings Brewing Company was born.  Operating with a shared kitchen, their first kombucha (Darjeeling Oolong) was released in late May of 2018.  Through the GTA Brew Club, they featured their first beer (Ardi) to the public at the People’s Pint Brewing Company in July of 2018.  During Toronto Beer Week in September 2018, their IIPA (Double Nelsoned) won the People’s Choice Award at the Homebrewers’ Tap Takeover Event at the People’s Pint Brewing Company.  In October of 2018, they featured their traditional Wee Heavy (416 Shilling) at the Cask Days Beer Festival at the Evergreen Brickworks. In the same month, collaborations began with the People’s Pint Brewing Company to bring their craft beers to the masses.  A few weeks later, they took home the gold medal for the American Wild Ale category in the GTA Brews Brew Slam Competition.  They were in a whirlpool and were truly blessed with a lot of help along the way to get to where they are today.

Who we are…

Iron Rings Brewing Company was started by three Electrical Engineers.  Friends since university, they eventually started their first jobs together and held regular Wednesday pub crawls.  After attending Oktoberfest in Munich, upon returning home they began home brewing. This persisted for several years until other life duties took priority.  They continued to sample thousands of beers over several continents and developed an interesting palette. After ten years, they were again in the same city. Like other stories, after a few rounds of beers to catch up, discussion of brewing came up.  Awed by advancement in available ingredients and brewing technology they started making their first beer in ten years. Just like riding a bike, many recipes were created and enjoyed. It was then an opportunity came up with kombucha production that the Iron Rings Brewing Company was formed.  On the back of their minds were always beer and it was a goal for them to share their brews with other beerlovers. Instead of producing a large quantity of a one single beer, the philosophy of the Iron Rings Brewing Company has always been lots of small batch beers. Their brewing adventures continues…
